Alexey Vorobyov won the award for Best Actor

On Saturday was the closing ceremony of the XII Russian Comedy Film Festival "Улыбнись, Россия!/Smile, Russia!” in the Tula Academic Drama Theater. In total, the festival has presented about three dozen films, including those launched at the Russian box office March 1, the life-affirming comedy "Самоубийцы/Suicides".

That evening, the sensational picture of the young director Yegor Baranova has won one of the most prestigious nominations - "Самая неожиданная комедия/The most unexpected comedy."

On the same evening, the star of the life-affirming comedy, Alexey Vorobyov, won the prize of the festival president Alla Surikova for "Best Actor". This award is particularly valuable because one time in several years this only personal prize of the film festival is entrusted for the most talented and brightest actor's works.

Alexey's comment: "This is an incredible honor for me and it's especially valuable to get my first acting award at this festival, which took place in my hometown, but "Самоубийцы/Suicide" is a "team" movie and therefore I would be happy to split the prize between the all my colleagues!"

The life-affirming comedy "Самоубийцы/Suicides" is about dizzy adventures of three friends - Alexey (Alexey Vorobiey), Tolik (Eugene Stychkin) and Marina (Oksana Akinshina), who decided to commit suicide. By bringing like-minded people, new friends decide to finally fulfill the last wish of each other. This, at first glance, the solution turns the harmless characters' lives into a continuous kaleidoscope of enchanting events. The more the friends performed the most unexpected desires of each other, the more incredible the stories get in which they fall. Funny gags, reincarnation and light, a sharp sense of humor, a dynamic plot, vivid characters - all elements of the film fit into the current formula: life is beautiful and we should appreciate every day.

"Самоубийцы/Suicides" - an original comedy about how to get everything when there's nothing to lose and how to become masters of their destiny. The picture is full of good jokes and catchy phrases, which after a few days on the screen are quoted. This is a rare film, which can be "break away and neighing” for the youth, and a good laugh for "intelligent and educated" people.
